Yes - nice building but unfortunately populated by a pretentious, obnoxious clique that put other people off going in there ;)

Good to see the various McMullen's landlords enjoying the beer (& Country wines) in the Horse a couple of days ago . I think they enjoyed it :D

Went back to this old haunt of mine for a quick pint last night. I quite liked the choice of one bar with Xmas decorations and one without (called "Bar Humbug" - hoho)!!
Only a small selection of beers which is fair enough on a Monday - both the Adnams and the Butcombe were truly excellent, and I am a very fussy drinker.
Won't be so long until my next visit :)

I went to have a drink here yesterday (Monday) and it was shut and all dark with a blackboard outside saying "Closed for a technical problem" or something like that. Anyone know what is/was going on?

Word was it was due to reopen yesterday (Tuesday). Will find out tonight!
