New timetable from Hertford North - May 2018
I'm disgusted at this service. I also think Govia should lose the franchise.
These are the trains currently cancelled from Highbury and Islington to Hertford North, all consecutively:
16:03, 16:18, 16:28, 16:48, 16:58
Good luck getting on a train.

to be completely fair that disruption was apparently due to a fire a Moorgate and not really related to the poorly managed migration to the new timetable.

I see tomorrow morning's 744 is showing as cancelled which means there is a 30 minute gap for trains between 732 and 802. At least this is forcing me to get in the habit of checking which service will be randomly cancelled...

Yes, I didn't notice that until a few hours later. Oh well, that on top of everything else made me work from home for the rest of the weekbeebopb wrote:to be completely fair that disruption was apparently due to a fire a Moorgate and not really related to the poorly managed migration to the new timetable.

If you're on twitter, can thoroughly recommend following @garius who explains why the problems on the trains have come about. He's written a fantastic explanation on the issue of drivers - employing, training, poaching. One route that has been introduced requires FIVE different drivers at the moment!

My understanding was that it all ultimately goes back to the the introduction of Thameslink services.JohnSmith wrote:If you're on twitter, can thoroughly recommend following @garius who explains why the problems on the trains have come about. Heh! The first rule of first class club...Golden wrote:The choice is there - but will you stop extolling the virtues of the HFE line - how on earth will I get the privilege of sitting in a first class seat if the whole of Hertford is using the service

They excelled themselves today. The 0832 Hertford North to Moorgate service wasn't showing at all on their app. Along with at least two other commuters I asked on twitter what had happened to it.
The response was that it wasn't running today and the service had been taken off the app to avoid confusion.
I ambled down to Hertford North and noticed that the number of people on the platform waiting for the 0844 wasn't particularly large.
Another passenger then replied to my tweet to say that the 0832 had run as timetabled.
GN are now telling us that services have been cancelled when they haven't!

Good news from Mark Prisk. First class has been declassified on all services on the Hertford Loop with immediate effect.*
*10 points if you can spot the obvious error in his tweet.
