Just to fill in some of the missing details, this is the Folkstock Christmas Festival featuring the excellent Indi Forde and Nick & The Sun Machine (amongst many others).

I cannot access Facebook at work and think you have to be a member anyway so cannot see what it is about. Can someone explain what it is all about please?

These links used to automatically open in a new window for me but no longer. Is it just me or a (non) feature of the new forum?

If you hold down CTRL when clicking the link it will open in a new tab. There's some debate amongst web designers about whether or not it's good practice to open links in a new window by default.

Folkstock took place in September near Elstree and this mini-festival brings together some of the artists that performed. From the Facebook event page:

We have a great selection of acts from the festival to re present to you and a couple of additional acts who we are proud to add to the line up – Hertford based rootsy Suburban Dirts who’s album has just been released to great acclaim “ visceral blend of Americana and classic blues wins hearts and minds... real deals with nowt taken out “ FATEA

Charming songstress Jess Morgan, who is coming from Norwich to sing for us ‘Gorgeous country folk’ The Guardian “ Every so often you come across a little gem like this! ’ - Steve Lamacq , BBC Radio 2 .

Sultry singer Jo Bywater Music travelling for your delight and delectation from Liverpool, about who’s EP, Folkwords have said “delicious, laid back folk tinged Americana“,

Uber cool Indi Forde, Hertfordshire’s answer to Jimi Hendrix who impressed audiences here ( and everywhere in fact ) last month.

Mesmerising Marina Flo ( Marina Florance ) fresh from Folkstock Main stage slot and Cambridge Folk Festival debut,

Inimitable Nick and the Sun Machinee from St Albans who will have just released their debut acoustic EP,

Quirky, endearing Roxanne de Bastion with her pure voice and angelic smile, just back from touring in Germany,

The delight that is Kelly Oliver, one of the Foundation ‘ finds’ who is the first artist recorded and promoted by Folkstock Records, who will be playing us all the tracks off her EP which will be launched at the event. We've just had this lovely review in : With themes ranging from acutely observational to intensely personal and a voice that is rich and natural, silvered and sensuous, her debut EP ‘Far From Home’ will seduce your ears. Tim Carroll, FolkWords.

Bluesy, Garry "The Slide Guy" Smith who will be entertaining us on the banjo. Only kidding. Stunning skills to behold here.

Cheeky Genie and the Jivebombers, the wonderful Hitchin based 40’s inspired quartet who will also be showcasing their just released CD,

Magical Minnie Birch, who has thrilled this audience before ( but how ?!), Joan Armatrading’s hand picked support act and our
Child prodigy Josiah Handpan, starting us off with his Christmas compositions.

I think for a forum, you would always want it to open in a new window due to how it is read as you wouldn't be want to navigate away from the forum prematurely.
