Thursday 16 July 2020

Aldi's new store in Gascoyne Way was officially opened this morning by the Mayor of Hertford Cllr.Bob Deering.

The new 1254 sqm store will be run by manager Cherell Locke, along with a team of 34 colleagues from the local community.

On opening the store, Cherell  said: "It was lovely to welcome customers into Aldi Hertford this morning. The new store opened with social distancing guidelines in place to ensure the health and safety of our customers and colleagues. We would like to thank customers for their patience and support in adhering to these safety measures".

Work on the store started a year ago with the demolition of the former Consumers' Association buildings on the site.

The store was originally scheduled to open in the spring but was delayed by Covid-19.

Opening times are 8am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
