Next year's Hertford town calendar has gone on sale, available from the Town & Tourist Information Centre in The Wash.
During the summer the public submitted their photographs of Hertford in a competition to be included in the calendar.
There was an overwhelming public response and the number of excellent images submitted for the competition far exceeded the calendar pages available. The judging panel made up of the Mayor of Hertford, Cllr Bob Deering and Deputy Mayor Cllr Jane Sartin had the difficult task of selecting 13 photographs for the cover and the months.
A private launch at Hertford Castle was not possible this year due to social distancing measures in place and the winners will be awarded their free copy and certificates via post instead.
The Mayor of Hertford, Cllr Bob Deering said: "Thank you to all those who entered pictures to this year’s calendar competition. I
am pleased that the competition attracted entrants from various age groups and I was very impressed with the number of high quality photos which made choosing the winners a difficult job. I feel the choices we made showcase the various aspects of Hertford’s unique beauty as well as the months they represent."
The Official Hertford 2021 Calendar is available to buy at the Hertford Town and Tourist Information Centre for £10 each or two for £18.
