A new pizza and street food outlet could open if plans for the former Cafe Rouge get the go-ahead.
A planning application has been submitted by Proove Pizza for new signage at 3 Parliament Square, as well as a seating layout in front of the restaurant.
The wood fired pizza specialist has two existing outlets in Sheffield and Manchester. The business also offers vegan and gluten free options as well as Antipasti.
Cafe Rouge closed earlier in the year when parent company The Casual Dining Group went in to administration.
Whilst many national chain restaurants have been under pressure, with many closing, the independent sector has fared better and proven popular with customers, especially during the Eat Out To Help Out campaign.
Proove Pizza hope to open in Spring 2021.
