Popular award-winning local restaurant Lussmanns has opened in new premises after an 8 month closure forced by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The new restaurant at 83 Fore Street - formerly home to ASK - opened at midday and a steady stream of diners were soon ordering from Lussmann's Classic menu.
The premises can seat up to 100 customers, although this number is current reduced due to the pandemic.
Commenting on the opening, Andrei Lussmann said: "I'm delighted that after 265 days of covid closure Lussmanns has finally reopened "almost coming home for Christmas". Now rehomed in thed old ASK we look forward to welcoming our regular customers and patrons new and old back to enjoy what we have always done well. Hertford is our spiritual home and now in its 18th year my team and I look forward to the next 18 years."
The restaurant group has three other outlets in St.Albans, Harpenden and Hitchin.
