Rapid testing for anyone without coronavirus symptoms is now available across Hertfordshire, including a new location outside Hartham Leisure Centre.
Key and essential workers who cannot work from home during the current government restrictions are especially encouraged to book a rapid test every few days to help ensure that essential services are as safe as possible.
Rapid testing in Hertford takes place in the Hartham Leisure Centre car park on Friudays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Around one in three people with coronavirus do not show symptoms, which means they can spread the virus to family, friends, co-workers and into the community without realising.
Free rapid tests (also known as Lateral Flow Tests) are available by appointment only and bookable up to a week in advance. You’ll need to take your booking confirmation to your appointment and have your mobile phone with you, ensutring that it is charged. Results are sent by text and email in 45 minutes.
To book a test go to www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/rapidtest . Please check the website regularly for updates as other new test centres will open across Hertfordshire every week.
If you have symptoms of coronavirus you cannot have a rapid test and must not go to a rapid test centre – instead please book a standard coronavirus (PCR) test at www.gov.uk/coronavirus.
