Corn Exchange reopens

Hertford Corn Exchange has reopened under new management following a two year closure brought on by the pandemic.

The refurbished Corn Exchange features new sound and lighting equipment, reconfigured stage and improved facilities for both audience and artists.

The new venture is owned by James McLaughlin and Adrian Bell, with promoter Luke Hinton running the music side of the operation.

Tonight's opening party will feature performances by Hertford's Ed Tattersall and St.Albans based The Maida Vales.

Other artists scheduled to play include electronic and dub act Dreadzone (Friday 11th February), tribute act Whole Lotta DC (Saturday 12th February) and Afro jazz combo Nubiyan Twist (Friday 18th February)

Popular tribute acts will appear regularly at the Corn Exchange, with bands such as Guns 2 Roses, Imagine The Beatles, Boot Led Zeppelin and The Smyths all scheduled to play.

New Wave and indie bands The Buzzcocks and The Wedding Present are also lined up to appear in the coming months.
