Hertford Town Council have launched the 2019 Love Hertford competition, offering local shops to the chance to be voted one of the town's favourite traders.
Last year over 2,500 votes were cast by the public who selected their favourite traders.
The competition is aimed to recognise and commend traders in the county town and highlight the wealth of shops and services on offer in the town centre and neighbourhood shopping areas.
Chairman of Development and Leisure, Cllr Jane Sartin said: "The Love Hertford Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the wealth of shops and services on offer in Hertford. I hope that we will see many businesses in the town centre and in community shopping areas entering the competition in order that their customers have the opportunity to vote for them once the competition gets fully underway."
Businesses can collect an entry form from the Town and Tourist Information Centre in The Wash, or enter online by visiting www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/LoveHertfordAwards. The closing date for entries is Friday 15th March.
The public will then be able to cast a vote for their preferred winner for each category, with the winners being announced in May.
