Residents of Bengeo can have their say on the evolving neighbourhood plan at an exhibition this coming weekend.
An exhibition and consultation will be held at Millmead School on the 23rd and 24th of March 2019 giving residents their chance to have a say in the future shape of Bengeo.
The exhibition comes as the first draft of the Neighbourhood Plan reaches completion.
John Howson Chair of the Bengeo Neighbourhood Plan steering group said: "We are delighted to be able to present to the community a vision of Bengeo moving towards a more sustainable future. A Bengeo in which we preserve our green spaces while tackling some of the pressing traffic management issues that confront us today, and coming up with a thought through plan for community, housing and business. We want this to be a plan for all our residents and a future Bengeo for all our residents. So please get along and ensure your voice is heard."
Hertfordshire County Councillor Andrew Stevenson said "I am pleased to see BNAP moving forward. Having a clear voice of the Bengeo community has never been more important. Herts County Council has an active consultation on significant measures to address our strangulation by traffic, namely a sustainable travel town and a Hertford Bypass. Growth of new cultural initiatives, like Hertford Arts Hub seek to bring new life to the town. BNAP has an important role to play in helping to shape the future of the Bengeo community and I am happy to support its work in any way that I can."
East Hertfordshire Councillor Peter Ruffles said: "Aside from the important and useful outcome, Neighbourhood Planning is such a great thing for community. We all look again, more carefully, and we all think more carefully, about the place we call 'our place'.
