The Jungle Bar in Fore Street is hosting an all day charity event for MacMillan Cancer Support this coming Mayday Bank Holiday Sunday (5th May).
The event is being organised by Hertford Music Festival's Kev Saunders and features punk cover band The Real McKoys, post-punk goth outfit The Suicide Tapes, Clash tribute act The Trash, and ska band The Trojan Horses.
Kev Saunders explained: "Our friend Steve Hunt, sound engineer, PA system provider and DJ on whom we’ve relied since the start of the Musical Mystery Tour, was diagnosed early this year with terminal cancer). And since Steve’s getting a great deal of support from them, the least we can do as his mates is do our little bit to support them."
Joining the headliners are The Exaggerators, Clampdown, Fell & The Fallen, The Stanlees, Garden Room and Neil Gowans.
The event runs from 2pm on Sunday 5th May until 3am the following morning. Admission is free but donations are encouraged.
