Hertford Town Council are organising a series of events to take place on National Play Day this coming Wednesday 7th August.
The events takes place from 11am to 4pm in the town centre, including:
Everyone Active will be staging their own Mini Olympics, including fun games with a fitness twist for the little ones (and parents) to win prizes including 12 months free membership, 12 months free swimming lessons, family fun swims and much more.
Low cost activities include; children’s films at Hertford Theatre, craft activities at the Mill House in Marshgate Drive, beauty glitter, hair platting and makeup tutorials at Love Locks and the option to create magical tea lights at Leaf Café.
Many retailers in the town will be offering discounts throughout the event including 20% off Maxin Porcaro children’s haircuts, 25% off meal deals at Costa, 10% off at Paul Martin.
Cllr Jane Sartin, Chairman of Hertford Town Council’s Development and Leisure Committee, said "If you’re looking for summer holiday activities for children close to home, Hertford town centre will be the place to be on 7 August. It’s good to have the involvement of so many local businesses, putting on activities as part of the event alongside the entertainment Hertford Town Council is organising."
