Art Society Holds Annual Exhibition

Hertford Art Society are holding their 66th annual art exhibition at Cowbridge Halls from 6th to 19th May 2018.

The event is one of the most prestigious Open Exhibitions in the South East and welcomes amateurs and professionals alike. 

A number of awards are given for exhibited works. The John Goss Prioze is awarded by Ludges to the painting considered to be best in show. This year it was been awarded to William Carney for his picture 'Punk Portrait'. The Lady Laming Award for Abstract Art is awarded to the best abstract picture in the exhibition, with this tyear's winer being Brian Innis for 'Still Life.  Other award winners included Marianne Dorn for 'Blue Storyteller, Anne Gascoigne for 'Crouching Hare'; and Andy Lee for 'Vaporetto Venice'.

The exhibition is open weekdays from 11am-8pm, Saturday 12th May 10am-8pm. Sunday 13th May 11am-4:30pm and Saturday 19th May 10am-2:30pm. Admission is free.
