Arrest after Tesco assault

A teenager has been arrested after an assault in Tesco yesterday evening.

Police were called at around 7:10pm last night (Tuesday 29th October) to reports of an assault that had taken place in Tesco in Mill Road

It was reported that a large group of youths had chased the victim from Hertford East train station to the Tesco car park, and that one of them allegedly had an offensive weapon. One person suffered minor injuries during the incident.

A 16-year-old boy was later arrested at Hertford East train station on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon.
