Does anyone know of any Pubs that run Karaoke on either Friday or Saturday night?

The Golden Griffin holds regular Karaoke nights. Not sure which nights though.

I know that Bar humbug used to do karaoke but sorry I'm not sure what nights and if this still happens. I also know that the John Gilpin pub in Ware does karaoke every Friday night if you venture that way at all.

Only ones I know off are on Thursday nights at the Duncombe and The Blackbirds. Used to go to the one in Bar Humbug, which was a surprisingly high standard. Unfortunatly the current ones are the screech-fests that you fear, Victor. [:D]
Good Karaoke may be rare (and probably a contradiction in terms in your mind, Victor [;)] ), but I know of a few people in Hertford that would put the so-called stars of X-Factor, etc to shame.

Blackbirds on a Thursday night is as Spectacularly Awful as a Formula One pile-up! [}:)]
Mainly a 17-20 year old crowd, alcopop’ed off their heads, screeching the latest boy-band or pop-tart dirge, but sometimes, just sometimes there are sparks of genius.
Last weeks’ ‘Theme from Baywatch’ was an explosive close, well appreciated by those left standing at 12am.
An uncanny rendition of Shaggy’s ‘Mr Boombastic’ also sticks in the mind.
Get drunk and check it out. [8D]
Take it from me, never EVER experience it sober. [xx(]
