Bayley Hall?
On the A414 approaching the turn off for Parliament Square (both directions) there are signposts for Bayley Hall.
Where/what is/was Bayley Hall[?]

It's the big house at the end of Bell Lane (Bell Lane is between The Salisbury Hotel and Millets)

I believe it used to be owned by a financial company (CMC?)............the chap who ran the company (still runs it?) now lives Much Hadham way........

CMC the FX trading Company moved to London a few years back. Now Bailey Hall is occupied by Beverley Homes, the builders who built Pimlico Court next to Gates.

Thanks. although living in hertford for 8 years I am only now having the leisure time to look up the town's history. I'm still intrigued as to why this building which seems to have dual names (bailey hall) shows up to with such little information on internet searches but has these very official looking signposts on the 414. [?]

Ironically I think it was more prominent before the A414 sliced Hertford in two.

The reason it is signposted is because it used to be council offices -i used to go there to pay my parking fines.
