Butchers - Bengeo or Kingshill, Ware Fishmongers - Obvious Newsagent - Jenners Florist - Charlotte's (Mr Tigger take a hint) Electical Shop - East Herts Bakers - don't tend to use Gifts - Wiggintons I while ago I asked if Hertford do a 'cheery trader' award. I asked the Mercury as was suggested this reminded me that they have not reply. No major prize, just the award, publicity would be nice. We have so many good traders it would be quite an interesting exercise too. Early in the year I was asked to collect prizes for a raffle from the local shops. Of all I asked, I only got one no as they already commited to a local charity. All very kind and generous. It would be nice to publically show appreciation. Does anyone know anyone appropriate at the Mercury that they could talk to? Or I could? [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]

Tigger, the person to take this up with is probably Paul Brackley the News Editor, his direct number always quoted in paper. I believe he is holiday until after Christmas; you could try the Editor Paul Winspear - ditto number. As they do a similar competition in Ware can't see why Hertford can't have their own. If you don't want to ring yourself, let me know and I'll suggest it next time I speak to them.
