Where to get locally reared goose?
Hi,
Is it too late to find somewhere which sells locally reared free range goose for Saturday?
I know of places which do chickens ( e.g. on the crooked mile ) , but fancied a change..??

Is the 'locally reared' element a showstopper? I know somebody who has them in Hoddeson, but that is a little uncomfortably close to North London, and we all know what goes on there.
Come to think of it, I'm sure he said he got his goose feed from a guy in Thurrock, so that probably rules it out.

hoddesdon's fine - in fact i ended up getting some duck instead grown in royston so thats not too bad.
Didnt realise how expensive goose is, and never having had it, seemed an expensive gamble in the end!
Only just moved to hertford tho, so still trying to find local suppliers..
