Streetlighting

There are a number of streetlamps not working on the A414 Gascoyne Way releif road through the town. Apparently the County Council say that they cannot fix these within the usual five day target because they require lane closures - which explains why many of them have been out since mid-November.

Perhaps they asssume that the Tesco floodlights will light up the whole of Gascoyne Way - they seem to light up the rest of Hertford. Talk about light pollution.... Frustrated star gazer!

If you mean the ones at Bluecoats, even some of those on the big masts are out of order, so they're not even at full power!

I checked it out with my own "new telescope" and - yes - they are Bluecoats. Why do they need these floodlight type things there? These lights, along with Focus carparks lights, are totally ruining my view of dms001's house !!! Just kidding
