Hertford East line: Make your voice heard
A meeting that will be of interest to all commuters on the Hertford East line:
Mark Prisk will be holding a commuter meeting on the 15th March from 6-7pm at the Corney and Barrow, Broadgate Circle, London EC2.
The purpose of the meeting is so that local commuters can raise issues of concern with Mr. Prisk in a more relaxed environment. There will also be local councillors in attendance.

Dear Nick
Whilst I believe that Mr Prisk is thinking of the commuter from Herfordshire why, or why, is he holding this meeting in London? Is it for the convenience of the commuter rushing to get his/her train?I think not. Who is paying for the venue and hospitality? If Mr Prisk wants to hear what those on the line say why doesn't he hold it in Hertford or Ware?

What was the outcome of that meeting? I was on holiday most of March, otherwise I'd have gone.
I've had a response (fruitless I might add) from WAGN regarding my complaints, but I do at least have a single contact there that I will be sending all complaints to in future.
If anyone wants the email address of the guy that's dealing with me feel free to mail me, I won't put the poor guy's address here.
Steve.

We went, told him we don't want the new company messing around with the direct commuter services from Hertford East to Liverpool Street. Other people no doubt raised different concerns. Had an e-mail from his parliamentary assistant afterwards, apparently he's meeting the train people some time this month to discuss the points we raised. They will no doubt nod politely and get on with doing whatever they want to do.

Has Mark Prisk undertaken to have a follow up meeting with commuters to report back? I would be interest in attending don't mind whether its Broadgate or Hertford/Ware - happy to buy him a drink if he gets the right answers!
