Loose cobbles and paving
Whilst the recent steam cleaning was welcome, it seems to have removed alot of the aggregate from between cobbles and paving stones in the town, the result being that many of them are now coming loose. This of course is the result of bad workmanship when the work was originally done. I just wonder if Hertfordshire Highways have made any provision for this.

I'm sure they have. It will involve removing the whole lot, closing the street to traffic for 3 months, and throwing down another random mix of different materials. Some of these will be carefully chosen to ensure they are wholly unsuitable for the heavy traffic (buses, delivery lorries) that have to use the roads in the town centre.
