The page regarding the ratrun at lower Benjeo is a little out of date. This is no longer an issue of traffic inconvenience! In the last 18 months I have witnessed verbal abuse of the most aggresive nature to a mother strapping a child into a car seat. Apparently the poor woman was not going quick enough for the van load of builders so they threatened to kill the child. Outrageous. More recently I witnessed a female driver, who objected to being kept waiting at the top of Nelson Street, physically asault an elerly gentlemen through the window of his car. These are not extremes but daily occurences. It is also important to add that as these impatient ratrunners make their progress through lower Bengeo they are not adverse to knocking off the odd wing mirror and damaging a fair few wings in the process.
