Can we have a for sale section??
I was thinking how good a for sale section would be for the residents of hertford and surrounding? I am not sure if this is allowed but quite like the idea as Loot and Ebay cover a huge area obviously and i don't always remember to buy the local paper!! Also would give me the incentive to have a clear out!

There is a Yahoo Group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hertford_freecycle/ , which covers this area, where unwanted items can be advertised and requested. The basic aim is to reduce the number of items that still have life left in them being thrown into landfill sites. The only downside is you are not allowed to charge any money for items......but if it saves me a drive to the dump i'm all for it.

Hi, yes i am a member of freecycle but some items are just too expensive to just give away, and equally there is often an occasion i am hunting through ebay for something to buy, for example baby items, and the one's i really want tend to be miles and miles away!! And too heavy for postage!! I am a buggy addict and tend to change more regularly than most! Just thought a for sale local section would be great!

Indeed, I'm moving and have a load of things for sale that are not worth putting on e-bay and are too valuable to give away.

Not wishing to tread on admin's toes but I have a Partnership newsletter going ot hopefully next week. Looking for 1000 copies which are being part delivered by my friends at Blue Arrow all over industrial estates whilst I'll still cover town centre. I leave extra copies in dentists, doctors, hairdressers etc.

I too have various items, drawers, quilts that I would like to sell or swap. They dont fit in our house.I thought it easier to do it locally as the drawers are quite heavy.
I am also on the look out for a second hand 'wing backed' or old style armchair. It doesn,t matter what condition as I would re-cover it. I have tried ebay but most are 'pick up only' and too far away.
