Music Festival
Not quite Hertford, but near enough...noticed there is a music festival up at Bramfield in a couple of weeks time - looks a pretty good line-up, too:

This festival looks great and there may be a chance to glimpse 70s songstress Judy Tzuke in the audience as her daughter is one of the acts! I have never managed to see The Runners yet although everyone tells me they are very good. [8D]
Strange ticket pricing - cheaper for two adults to buy a family ticket than two adult tickets. So if anyone has three music-loving kids they want to get rid of for the day, they can come along free with me and Mr Rach! [:)]

I used to think so, too, but the single 'No Requests' they released last year was just pants - bland and uninteresting. I haven't seen them live since so I don't know what there more recent stuff is like.
I keep meaning to buy their album (Infrequent Mild Peril) but will wait until after I've seen them at Bramfield until I do.

After the fun banter with Tulip I did not get to this event as I was too busy. Tulip had food poisoning, so I am guessing she too did not make it either.
So how did it go? Did anyone see Rotating Leslie?

Myself, Mrs Joby and baby Joby went, although baby Joby decided he'd had enough by about 8pm. We managed to see Rotating Leslie, and I thought they were great - I even liked 'No Requests', perhaps it's a live thing. Will definitely pick up their album now.
I felt sorry for alot of the bands as they were often playing to no audience - folk didn't tend to be crowded round the stage and were generally dispersed around the field doing their own thing. Perhaps it filled up later - there were certainly plenty of folk arriving as we left.
All in all, we had a great time - I hope it becomes an annual thing.
Looking forward to hearing how the evening bands were from anyone who stayed...
