Beer Festival at The Black Horse
We are proud to announce that we shall be holding our first Black Horse Beer Festival during the Fathers Day weekend, 16th, 17th and 18th June.
12 real ales plus cider will be on offer alongside a barbeque to help soak up the ale!! Festival commences 5 pm Friday 16th and carries on during Saturday and Sunday which of course is Fathers Day. Sunday evening will end with the usual quiz at 8.30 pm.
Bar opening hours
Friday 5 - 12
Saturday 12 - 12
Sunday 12 - 11
Barbeque times
Saturday 1-4 and 7-10
Sunday 1-4
So bring Dad (and Mum) along for a pint or three. You will not be disappointed.

Sounds great. Are you doing your usual menu on the Sunday, or just the barbeque?

Milk Street Brewers - "Nicks"
Red Squirrel Brewery - "Honey Porter" and "Organic Blonde"
St. Austell Brewery - "Tribute"
Wessex Brewery - "Potter's Ale and "Warminster Warrior"
Hecks Brewers - "Vintage Medium Farmhouse Cider"
Greene King - "IPA", "XX Mild", "Abbot Ale" and "Ale Fresco"

Dropped in the BH on Friday night to sample delights of the Beer Fest - Rooster/Dobbin - congratulations, good atmosphere, good selection of beer and Golden Spring in particular was wonderful, shame it ran out! Hope it was a sucess for you and you will do it again!

we popped in on Saturday night and had a great evening, the beer was excellent! and the chilli dog's on the bbq were good too!

"Chef Tony" and I would like to thank all of you who visited us over the weekend and helped make our first Beer Festival a resounding success. There was only a small amountof "Nicks" remaining last night so Dobbin anticipated the right amount of beers. We are both "cream crackered" (don't want to be sensored) but are convinced that this could now be an annual event. We would also like to thank our staff who worked their socks off over the three days but enjoyed every minute. Our final thank you goes to Nigel at the White Horse for the loan of the racking for the cellar. It was very much appreciated.
