I'm suprised that this is not on here yet but I was wondering if anyone has any views on the new licencing laws, they have been in place for a while. What are your thoughts? I myself have one thing, since the change in law the public are able to have a say on what licencee's can do with their opening times and what happens with their buisness. With respect why? I have a pub that has had a bit of a rough time of late in its previous history before me but since I have been here I have had no trouble (touch wood this continues). I have built a good customer base and a real trade to be proud of, if I cannot offer more to my customers they will leave in time due to the fact that I am not a town pub or a community pub. I am passing trade and a small group of regulars all of which are a fantastic crowd and noise levels are drowned out by the boy racers and buses on the North road so why can a small group of people who don't even drink in your pub have a say on what goes on in it and till what time. Please let me know your views thank you.
