Hartham Common
How can this be? We have lived in Hertford for coming up to 6 years & we have never been to Hartham Common. We finally took the plunge on Saturday & it is lovely!!
I bet there are loads of delights to experience that we have yet to discover so if you have any recommendations please pass them on...

The Meads (via Hartham). Stay on the towpath in Hartham and you can walk (or cycle!) alongside the river. It takes you all the way to Ware and on.

Used to take mine to Action Tots at Wodson Park, also there are various music groups

While walking the dog around the boundaries of Hartham common again last Sunday i amazed how much rubbish is on or in the riverbanks. Its been getting worse all summer it seems, such a shame. I can fill a discarded Tesco bag within 50 yards.

I believe some folk fly kites down at Hartham and fly model aircraft; I've seen people kiting there, but never seen model aeroplanes - probably a bit advanced for a 2-year-old though :-) It can be a nice place for a walk during the day.

The model aeroplane enthusiasts generally congregate over the bridge and into the meads near the industrial estate. Having said this it has been a while since I saw anyone doing this.
