Corn Exchange Disco

Hello All Looking for a bit of info on the above. My partner's 2 boys (14 & 11) are giving her a hard time over wanting to attend the Corn Exchange Disco. Do any parents have kids that attend who could offer us an idea of what its like? I've heard stories - but would appreciate first hand knowledge. TIA NI-Lad

It does all deepend on who is running the event and under what terms. Try and find out who is running it and how it is being supervised and if all the people concerned are background checked. If all the boxes are ticked your kids will have a great night.

I think they moved it from the Corn Exchange to Ware Drill Hall after Hertford Town Council gave up the lease (but I could be wrong!). It's run by a guy named Chris Addison. From the above link: A monthly 50/50 auction at which any items brought along by members of the public will be sold, with half the proceeds going to the owner and the rest to CECP. Sounds like a good idea, better than living with loads of stuff too good to dump/freecycle and that won't sell on eBay.

My daughter's 14 and she nagged us for months - as did her mates nag their parents and we spoke to a few other parents whose kids attend. So we let her go last time - she thoroughly enjoyed it, no trouble, well supervised and happy to let her go again. Which strangely enough is the same feedback from other parents who are a bit more hard lined than us.
