the old fish shop
What an eyesore this old shop looks with its broken window...is this ever going to open as a shop?

It'll be an expensive shop to convert into a shop with different produce meaning big builder's bills to start a business with. I hope it doesn't stay empty too long, and I also hope that the window will be replaced soon; damaged property tends to ask for more damage to be inflicted.

I thought the whole point of Claydon's closing was because the landlord's daughter thought that Hertford would be able to sustain a dedicated Oyster bar? I'm glad she appears to have seen sense and not wasted loads of cash trying. It's a shame when shops open and close quickly

I have a feeling Hertford isn't quite ready for a Sushi Bar. It's only just got the hang of having a Café Nero!

Absolutely wrong idea.
I reckon that this shop in Hertford should become a kids shoe shop with good shoes like the Clarks shop in Maidenhead Street used to have. And with those lollipops too.

I think a seafood bar is a good idea, i heard a rumour that there will be opening in the new year in railway st.
In the meantime, im running a focus on shellfish with crab, lobster, scallops etc, and i have colchester oysters on the menu during summer.
