rc aeroplanes
hi there we are moving to hertford to and want to know if there are any rc flying clubs around, or should i give it up when i get there.

Yes there is a local club as an Uncle of mine attends, I don't know anymore, but the two Hertford model shops should be able to point you in the right direction.

People fly their models over on the Meads, the sounds of them droning on (the aircraft, not the people) travels far and wide and causes a considerable pain in the ear for many people to the east of Hertford, Ware Road, etc. If you go down the Cromwell Road Allotments or walk your dog you will be heartily fed up with the lack of consideration RC flyers show, I understand the local club has a code of practice as to when they fly and how many are in the air at the time, whether they abide by it is highly suspicious - but this doesn't extend to individuals.
Live and let live, no? bring on the exocets missiles ....
(PS - last bit was an attempt at humour, but seriously, there's a lot of noise generated ....)

well i might fly oncea week or soon and fly both electrics and pertrol, during the afternoob 5pm i fly electrics out of respect for all those that have just come in from work, before that i cannot really see and issue with flying petrol planes, as my lawnmower makes more noise,
thanks for your info though i will make sure i hover outside you window at 7 in the morning with one of my planes :P
