I'm sure there has been a thread on poor service already but I couldn't find it. I would nominate 'Out of Town' pine shop for the rude and patronising comments I received when I rang them recently. Nice furniture though.

Barclays Bank is my nomination. Unbelieveable contempt for customers amongst staff, occasionally they do smile but I usually miss it as I am picking myself up off the floor! [;)]

I agree he can be rather intimidating but we have cut a good deal with him in the past & are happy with what we purchased.

I've always liked Cafe Rouge, however I agree that the service can be slow but surely that's part of the (fake) French feel - I'm sure some of the staff put on dodgy French accents too. I usually tend to go there if I'm not planning on going anywhere else afterwards... except home, obviously.

Cafe Rouge was very bad the last time I was there. We had a cake for somebody's birthday and they came over and asked the birthday girl for a lighter thus ruining the suprise. I was fuming!!!

I went to Lussman's last week just after it had re-opened. I was with my son and it was around 12.30 - the place was empty and I asked if we could sit in the window (table for 4) and was told they were going to be very busy. I then asked if tables had been booked in advance but no! I told them that their customer care was appalling and I would not go back there. So I went to the Salisbury and had a pleasant lunch in there!
