You would think there would be a big sign saying so - is there one ? Im sure he wouldnt want word of mouth saying it looks like its closing down not moving accross the road.

is he moving in to Viva Viva? I know the owner is heavily pregnant and I never actually see anyone in tehre, so don't know how she'smanaged to keep going this long. Shame as it's nice stuff, jusy not competitively priced with the stores selling the same things in London

Anyone know anymore about whats happening here? I'm sure I read on one post that he'd moved to Warehams Lane - no sign there - just checked As I remember he used to do second hand Hi-Fi... Failing thst anyone want a Yamaha Amp Sub, & Tuner, & Tannoy (R,C & L)/Goodman (Backj speakers or know anyone local who would buy (for a nominal sum - honest) them off me. Free Technics CD thrown in...

Hello… I’m the heavily pregnant owner of Viva Viva.. Just wanted to let “thefair” know that Audio Visual isn’t moving in… there’s just enough room me! I like to think that all our prices are competitive especially with those in London, as we are an independent retailer we’re always happy to negotiate prices if you have seen them cheaper else where… Glad you like our “stuff” :o)

RMS = Root Mean Square. Basically it's a measure of the output power of the speakers. You don't need to know the maths behind it, the quoted value in the manual will give Berbatov what he needs.

When comparing statistics it is useful to remember that there are 3 different ways of quoting power. RMS x2 = MPO so 20W RMS = 40W MPO MPO x2 = PMPO so 40W MPO = 80W PMPO Most Hi-Fi equipment is quoted as RMS but other types of audio equipment quote MPO (Music Power Output) and PMPO (Pure Music Power Output)

To confuse you more. What is also worth considering is the sensitivity of the speaker - i.e. how efficiently it can transfer power from the amplifier and change this in to noise. Sensitivity is measured in terms of Decibels per Watt per Metre. Hopefully this wont be too boring but 1 decibel of loudness will be achieved with a standard signal level of 1 Watt (or 2.83 Volts) at 8 ohms at a standard distance from the speaker (1 metre). Anything over around 85 – 90+ db means they are fairly efficient. It is no good having 1000W speakers but that are so poor are transferring power that they require an amplifier the size of a room to drive them. Manufacturers of most electrical things are used to putting numbers on their boxes to confuse most of the buying public in to thinking numbers alone are a pure guide to A being better than B as A's figures are > than B's.
