Beer festival
Is there as Beer Fest at the OXT next week ?

There is one in St. Albans now (I know - off topic) but we have some complimentary tickets if anyone would like to go, courtesy of the
Hertford CAMRA members. Just call into the
B.H. to collect them. The festival is on until Saturday at the Alban Arena with over 400 beers to try.

THE OXT Beer Fesitival is Fri 6th to Sun 8th Oct (it might actually kick off the evenining on Thurs 5th, I can't remember).

Old Cross Tavern beer fest starts on the evening of Thurs 5 Oct until Sunday 8th. Various food will be available at various times, ask at the pub for details. I think rabbit stew, a chicken casserole using one of their Belgian lagers and the ever popular salt beef bagettes will feature at some time over the weekend. [:)]

Old Cross Tavern beer fest is in full swing this weekend with food available most of the time although booking is advisable for Sunday lunch. BTW, the people staffing the casks in the courtyard all donate their 'wages' to Isabel Hospice so hats off to them. [8D]
