Are there any good public ones run in/around Hertford?

Went to Sele School last year - great display. Is it an annual event for them?

I think all that you should not be able to buy fireworks. Only be able to see them at proper displays where there is some form of contol. Then the poor animals that get hurt as a result of idots throwing them would be reduced as a result.

I wasn't that impressed with Sele last year. Spent most of the time watching another display in the direction of Hertingfordbury which looked much better!

I don't really think that's a valid excuse Sloop. Most other councils manage to put on a well organised display every year without incident.

Waterford do a fantasic Fireworks show, I moved into the village a couple of years ago and didn't expect much when we went. It's very professionally run with plenty of high quality fireworks - you can buy a sausage in a roll and a half bottle of wine to enjoy while you're watching. Well worth a look, Sat 4th Nov on Waterford Playing Fields opposite the church.
