Is there a special reason that North Road floods so badly between the station and the Bridge House at the first sign of rain? Last night there were waves entering the station it was so bad. Is it poorly cleaned drains? Inadequate sewer size? What?

May I publicly apologise to the people leaving HN station last night that I inadvertantly soaked when I drove through the flood. I am very sorry - I was concentrating on getting through the flood without stopping. I had waited until all the people had gone from from the nearest kerb, but I drenched people on the opposite side of the road because the flood was so bad. I am very sorry.

I'm from Ware so wasn't affected, but I'd still like to say thanks to Nora - there are so many drivers who never consider pedestrians in the rain that it's nice to find one who does [:)]

I had to look after many of the soaked public that night It really effects the whole town coming into hertford from watton please could the council do something

Bottom of a very steep valley, surrounded by marshland (some of which has been filled in and raised up by developement) a road level with the surrounding flood plain. There is a problem here. It's that water doesn't climb very well or soak through man made surfaces. How do you drain a place that's lower than where you've got available to drain it to?

The underpass from the Peugot garage across the A414 to the Which offices was still flooded on Friday, despite me reporting it via the council website. I also reporting flooding of the same underpass a year ago, but they haven't informed me of any plans for a long term solution.

The underpass under the A414 into St. Andfres Street is still flooded (yet again) and the last heavy rain was some time ago.

did it get flooded today? there was a huge amount of rain on the A10 this morning, about 8.20 :S

I was walking to Hertford North station at 8.20 this morning. A few spots of rain but nothing for the drains to worry about.
