Free newspaper
I gather from reading these posts that the rest of Hertford is getting a free newspaper delivered. Can anyone tell me the name of it and any website details so I can find out why we don't get one?

I don't get them either and I'm very close to the town centre. Seems if you're anywhere off the beaten track you get overlooked.

I sent e-mails yesterday to the papers using John's links and have already had a reply from Archant Media saying that they will look into why we are not getting the papers. I'll let you know if I DO ever get one.

There's also the free Axis Magazine - you should be getting that throuh your door as well. If not, it's available at Waitrose.

You can have mine!
They are just a big piece of junk mail, clogging up the landfill sites.
I have no problem with them being free, with pick up points, but not shoved through thousands of doors just to please its advertisers.

Guess what? I got my very first Herald delivered yesterday and learnt a lot about Hoddesdon and Ware.
Does that mean it will be Hertford and Welwyn news next week?

Unfortunately the papers that cover Hertford do not also cover Welwyn Garden City..........similar to the stance taken by the Yellow Pages.

Which brings us back to that great missold title The Hertford Times - great if you want to find out what's happening in Welwyn Garden or Hatfield, but don't expect to find anything about Hertford other than the occasional reheated Mercury article from two months back.

Sorry that some of you aren't getting it. It annoys us too, when you don't get it, after all the hard work we put in to producing it.
