Match Abandoned due to Robbery!
Hertford's match last night was abandoned at half time because the dressing rooms had been broken into.
Not only a huge shame for the players affected, but also for the fans as it had been a great game to that point, with Hertford leading a team from a higher level.
The police apparently declined to attend. Hopefully I have got the quote right.... "It would take up a lot of time, it's much quicker if those who have had things stolen phone in individually"

Unfortunately it seems that a lot of sports venue in the region have been targetted recently.
My husband plays for Hertford RFC and while playing an away match, they broke into the changing rooms and stole two sets of car keys - unfortunately the valuables (wedding ring, watch, etc) were in the car! Cars are so difficult to get into, them seem safe but you need to ensure the keys are in a safe place!!
Two weeks later at another away ground the changing rooms were targetted again - my husband had nothing left to be stolen!!
I would encourage all sports player to leave valuables at home and just take the money you need, as certain people are targetting changing rooms, and it's very upsetting when you can't get sentimental items like a wedding ring back.
