Xmas presents - any reccomendations?
Rather than listen to everyone go on about how quiet it is in Hertford shops I thought it would be a nice idea if anyone could reccomend places to buy presents in Hertford - particularly for a 14 and a 10 yr old girl and a ** yr old wife!

Try the Decorated Room on Fore Street, they have some really nice stocking filler ideas, as does Cactus in Railway Street.

I have bought my daughter a cd player in Albany radio - very helpul staff. There's Harvest Moon (can't remember the new name), Monsoon, and take advantage of Methvens closing down sale. Smellies in Boots, stationery in Smiths and nice jewellery in Artico.
There - loads of places!

Depends what you are after Ashley's has very good selection of china/ glass and collectables. Harts for sewing / craft gifts. Colin Sykes for jewellery.
nearly forgot Albany for electricals............can't have that[:p]

Most of the places I was going to recommend have been mentioned, but I will be heading to the following today on the Christmas shopping trail: Decorated Room, Artico, Starfish, Wiggingtons, Methvens, plus lots of others in between, but those are the ones I'm sure I'll buy in. Colin Sykes & Lance James (think that's the name - place opposite Shire Hall) great for jewellry.
