2006 Forum Awards
I think nora suggested something like this last year and I have some thoughts for 2006:
Newcomer of the Year - shunt. No doubt about it, always worth a read when he posts something. And he has posted a lot in the last six months.[:)]
Most tedious topic - that nonsense about gay pubs/bars[:(!]
Funniest posting - nora's entry that led to the banter on the OVTR thread about sticky buns, genitals and so on.[:D]
Photo/picture of the Year - lots of entries by Steve, of course, but the upside down Christmas lights in Fore Street was my favourite (was that David Yates?)
Any other thoughts? (Without getting too personal.)

I suggest there should be category for "The most obviously contributed in the middle of the night whilst hammered and simultaneously incapable of recognising other peoples subtle remarks leading to an infuriated banging face off keyboard response".
Imagine how big a trophy you'd need to host the engraving for that.

kevsaunders had the odd knee jerk reaction, I seem to remember but I think one esteemed member actually said farewell and resigned whilst under the influence.

I was also going to nominate The Ram/Open Mic/Live music on Fore Street thread for most tedious/round and round topic. Soooooo boring.
And there is only one contender for Admin of the Year award...
Best photo for me was the hearse side car, closely followed by the badly painted bollard.
How about "Most technically informative thread"? Has to be all that stuff about aviation or radio signals.
Most tired act... Landy. I'm fed up with the Alan Bennett impression now.
Which do you reckon was the best online row?

Buzz vs. exiled_in_reading (on speed cameras) must be up there. Dude vs. exiled_in_reading was a good one, too. I notice a theme emerging here...

I may be wrong but I don't think Landy has posted since you singled him out for this criticism, Nora. [:)] Those of us who retain an interest in his Mother's health and the trials of getting his Morris Minor through Hertford's traffic, are missing his observations on local life.
