Parking Meters
What a dreadful idea. Yet another symptom of the growing metropolitanisation of the town, along with high density housing and trains run by The Mayor of London.

Will they be individual meters for set bays or a single pay & display meter for a stretch of parking?

The stupid thing is that it won't make a blind bit of difference until they bring back traffic wardens to enforce it.
Just sounds like an excuse to raise more cash to me

If it aint broke, don't fix it. We've survived without Traffic Wardens for over 2 years and I cannot remember the town clogging up.. Its just a cash cow.. It will do nothing to ease congestion in the town. It just irritates people trying to use banks and post office!
