Residents Parking
Just a thought,
The current fee for the residents parking scheme on the Folly Island has been held at £25 for the second year. Is this a sense of false security? When the council has implemented its residents parking schemes across the entire town and the immediate areas surrounding will it then be able to charge what it likes?
I understand that once implemented these schemes cannot be reversed

Will this be the same cost to Railway Street residents? From reading a letter in the Mercury it seems that the restriction will apply on Saturday as well - is this correct does anyone know? My understanding was that it would be in place up till 18.00 Monday to Friday. Although my street is not yet in the system it could well be in a year or so. As the letter in the Mercury states it is a money making scheme - they need to pay all these EHDC councillors (cf Mercury)

Folly Island is 9am-9pm restiriction, Monday-Saturday.

The H2 parking area is 8:00 am to 6 pm Mon to Saturday.

That is the problem, implementing the scheme is one thing but excluding certain streets will mean chaos, where are they supposed to park?
