Pub quiz
The Duncombe has a quiz one again on a sunday.If you remember a few years back when they had one , its the same quiz master Martin. Perhaps not up to the lofty standards of the barge quiz. More a less pretentious cheap and cheerful alternative. You don`t win anymore than a round for your team but it is FREE! Plus the drinks don`t cost over £3 each like the barge. I liked it anyway... my team did win though[;)]

Given how rammed full the Barge was last night for its quiz, there must be a huge demand for pub quizzes in Hertford

Pub quizzes are still popular yes but the Barge offers far more in the way of prizemoney than the others...some folk take it very seriously indeed[:D]

Quite right too - I seem to have lost some days since last Thursday, so to confirm:
Thursday's Music Quiz was excellent as ever. We did talk about coming along on Sunday but that's about as far as we got with the idea. I can confirm from past experience that the Sunday quizzes are excellent too.
Phew! Glad to know I can still come along and sit with a glazed look on my face.........

Only once a month. 8.30 PM second Thursday of the month I think? See the Black Horse website. Next one is in February, I would welcome more participants to witness me smiting my forehead saying, 'Oh, I KNOW this...' before arguing my team out of the right answer and scoring zero [:I]
Maybe someone should edit this thread title as it's more about local quizes than the Duncombe [?]
