Tower Street
I thought it was illegal to park within 10 meters of a junction? can anyone tell me if this applies to all roads as there are constantly vehicles parked right on the corner of Tower Street and Duncombe Road both in Tower Street and on both sides of Duncombe Road and this morning I had to go out at 5am in not the best conditions and it does make that junction very tricky.

The highway code asks that you "do not" park within 10 metres of a junction, but it does not state you "must not", which I believe is required for it do be deemed an offence.

That is true Dude, but becuase so many people chose to ignore that part of the highway code - we find that more and more double yellow lines appear on junctions.
A completely pointless exercise if the parking hitlers never bother to police them though.
There always seems to be a car parked on the double yellow lines at the end of Tudor way - and it makes getting in and out of the road very tricky.
