I'll 2nd that Steve..And what I wouldnt give for a chemist in Bengeo, especially just past the school.. It's a shame the butchers has closed but is apparantly re-opening as Halal, would have been a great spot there otherwise.

I think this town needs more estate agents and disco bars and hairdressers and supermarkets and financial institutions and empty shops... You can never find one when you want one.

I'd just like to find a empty shop that does cost the earth for my wife to open her 'homeware' store. I'm surprised Lanes are coming to town. That will mean 1 thing. They will buy up land and build flats. They do that across most of Enfield.

Lanes do. They have been building quite a few 'exclusive' blocks of flats in Enfield over the past few years. I can think of about 5 blocks that spring to mind. They generally have a start off figure around the £250,000 - £300,000 mark. An old friend runs the Enfield Town branch and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he runs the new one in Hertford.
