Tesco
I'm hearing rumours that Tesco is to move onto the Police station site and, Sainsbury's are to move into the current Tesco site. Anyone know if there's any truth in these rumours??

This is a new one on me. I'd be very surprised if there were any truth in it.
I don't think Tesco would give up a prime town centre site like this to one of their main competitors and move further away. I know they have significant problems with the size of the store and logistics, but it's one of their most profitable sites in terms of square meterage.

Not heard anything about this. I thought Tesco were trying to get permission to build a new entrance directly onto Ware Road - perhaps they've failed on this and have decided to move to a site with better access - getting out of that car park is a nightmare at busy times ever since the lights were put in - I don't use the store any more for that very reason.

Tesco were granted permission for the new exit a while back.
