Hmm - I have to say it was not quite what I expected. I managed to part with a good few pounds on third-rate fairgound rides when really we would have got better value from a family trip to Thorpe Park or somewhere. A bit tacky somehow. The rides were also crammed in making movement throught the crowds/pushchairs difficult. Why couldn't it have taken place at Hartham? My small children enjoyed it though. I was also appalled at the amount of litter everywhere - I didn't notice extra bins/bags for people to use. The Medieval night was better, I thought, but could have had much more of a theme-thing going. Unfortunately, the fireworks were on too late for my young family to enjoy. Perhaps it would be nice to have Medieval night separate to the fireworks? The event I have really enjoyed recently was the Vintage Car rally - that was colourful and fun. I think it was probably a one-off though.

You have got to be kidding. People in Hertford dont know how good they,ve got it. Beautiful parks , sensational people and a whole raft of community events. bagging the funday etc only serves to discourage people who give up their hard earned time to try and serve the community. stay positive , and celebrate the brilliant atmosphere in the town.

Welocme Foss. Don't get me wrong - I have lots of respect for those who worked hard on this year's Funday and am grateful that we have such events to enjoy. However, some very simple changes could have made the whole thing safer, less tacky and even more enjoyable. On reflection, I think it was the tatty looking, expensive, commercial fun fair attractions that I took a dislike to.....now, an old fashioned Steam fairground could have been different. There is one still around. It doesn't hurt for things to get reviewed , now and then. Don't worry - I think we all appreciate what a good thing we have going here in Hertford. I'm a little bit intrigued by an "Australian" poster - are you an old Hertfordian, a past visitor or just kidding? Feel free to remain mysterious!
