The end of Millets ?????

Apprently the parent company is in trouble and is looking to close some of it's smaller stores.
I do use the Hertford branch on occasions so it would be a shame to loose it. I hope someone comes to their rescue

I've often shopped here and the older guy with the beard is very helpul and knowledgeable. Hope it doesn't close.

There is nowhere I can get to by foot, to get thermal socks, gloves and a very pack-in-bag trendy mack for cycling in. I have bought a lot in there recently as I go out cycling and went camping. Its not just the loss of a store, but yet another retail hole and goodness knows how long it would be vacant and all the other problems. I wouldn't want it to go. I don't want to go to Welwyn GC all the time just to buy things I should be getting in a County town. The council needs to be scared, when services go.. the town dies... just look at Hoddesdon.. This is not good [:(]

oh bother! where on earth is my husband going to get his wardrobe from now! and he needs updating too!
But on a sadder note I suppose it could become a cafe, restaurant etc. poor Hertford losing it's heart!

Is the Hertford branch definitely closing down? I noticed that the WGC branch is now a 'Blacks'.

Hertford Millets is not closing down.
The Millets in WGC was changed to a Blacks as there was no other Blacks store in the locality save for London and Cambridge.
In any case the Blacks Leisure Group own both Millets and Blacks, so it was an internal company decision to change fascias, and not a sign of poor sales..

Yes. I know that. They have other brands as well........
