Matt Scales RIP
I was saddened this morning to read of the death of Matt Scales, former signer with The Gaff.
I never knew Matt, but I saw The Gaff on a number of occasions and he always impressed me. He was confident, talented and knew how to work a crowd. Whenever I saw him with individual fans I was struck by his charm and friendliness.

I worked with Matt on a number of projects. He was a credit to his art and to his generation. I too am very saddened by his death.
Apart from his obvious talent he was simply a lovely bloke.

I found out about this last weekend though my best friend who's Matt's cousin.

Saw the lad sing several times and he was brilliant and a top bloke to boot. Spoke to Leon who was the guitarist in the band and the brother of my mate's other half and they were all gutted. They could have really gone on and been stars, particularly Matt as they had supported the Kaiser Chiefs a couple of years ago. When he sung Breathe, it brought a tear to the eye. RIP Matt.

I had never heard of him, I have now been on his myspace area, the music playing is really good, is that him? it is tragic that someone as young and talented has gone.
