Road works on Hertingfordbury Road
I have noticed at a glance about the roadworks, but what are the the times it's closed etc.........? I think they start on the 4th?

I believe 7.30pm til 6am or it could be 6pm til 7.30am!!

The restrictions are overnight. There will be diversions via Thieves Lane and North Road.

It is definitely 7.30pm to 6am, 7 days a week. Residents of Hertingfordbury Road and the roads off it have been sent full details of the works and a special pass to enable access. It's clearly going to be disruptive, but anyone who has looked at the state of the road can see how essential the work is.

Especially the roundabout by the viaduct, if they made it smaller, the large lorries could get round without churning up the tarmac, but thank you all for the times, I gather it will be difficult in the day as well!

I didn't see any work going on this Sunday, maybe they have Sunday nights off? (only saw near the ESSO end)

Sundat night was clear. I was surprised to see that they worked Saturday night.
The guys manning the 'gates' (cones) have been great. Very polite and absolutely no delays getting into and out of the work area.

Yes, the roundabout is certainly in a better state for all the work - about time! I was told by the men in hi-visibility jackets that I could not access Ashley Road from the east but I told them quite firmly that it was the only way I *could* access Ashley Road as I was refused access from the opposite end (claiming I could not access Ashley Road through the works - but I could), and they kindly let me through for my commercial deliveries - it worked.
No matter what the short-term disruption caused, I am sure it is not unnecessary, and I thank those folk for repairing what was a horrible roundabout to have to negotiate, and those for being tolerant of the short-term inconvenience.
